Get Clear on Your Vision
How do you handle the fog?
Foggy days, like today on the West Coast, always make me reflect on time in my life when my path lacked direction and I couldn’t see the horizon in front of me. Thinking out loud and sharing my “random thoughts” with others really provided light, clarity, and support at a time when I felt hopeless and lost.
I have realized that there will always be foggy days in life but with faith and hope for brighter days ahead, you can get through them. Perhaps because today is a foggy grey day and I have also been talking a lot about blogging this week that I feel compelled to write this post and share my thought process with you.
Go Be Seen
Each day since the beginning of time, the sun has risen from the darkness to the highest point in the sky for all to see. This summer, the early morning rays of the dawn have been waking me up as the sun rises to brighten the day. It seems the beams are at peak brightness, waking me up and causing me to pay attention to them. The sun doesn’t care if you aren’t ready to wake up, or if you dislike the intensity – it keeps its brightness – it keeps shining – it wants to be seen! We can all learn a lot from this notion.

Need Clarity with Your Life Goals, Create a List!
Do you ever feel disorganized or unclear about achieving your life goals?
I started thinking about this issue while helping some friends organize their house recently. There was a problem with the moving company that day. As a result, the movers just unloaded all the possessions in one place and left my friends to put away everything.
When I first saw the place, a couple days after the movers had been there, the house was overwhelmingly cramped and disorganized. My friends felt frustrated as they didn’t know where to start on the project to get their place looking like home. They had an idea of how they wanted the place to look, but had no clue how to implement it. They didn’t mention anything to me about wanting help, but I volunteered as I have been in that position before and could relate to what they were going through. We worked together and got the place organized! Success.
Rise & Shine Interview: Jacqueline Boone
If you asked Jacqueline, “What is the most important goal in your life?” She would answer, “To follow my heart every step of the way.” Her heart has taken her to some pretty phenomenal places, including living in China for 3 years, one of them in rural Hunan when she didn’t speak the language, to working on a ranch in Montana, to San Francisco, in the midst of a recession, and to many others.
Nearly 3 years ago, she began writing a blog called 6 Months to Live, which started out as a life experiment and turned into a life philosophy. Jacqueline’s vision is to create a community of people who support and inspire each other in choosing meaningful and authentic lives. Life is waiting. Will you join her?
